7 more weeks!!!

Hey Everyone,

I know everyone has gotten back into school routines. Noah and I are back in the swing of things, but we are home today because he seems to have a "stomach bug." The Dr. says one is going around and he probably does have it, but as soon as I picked him up this morning from school he has acted like he feels fine. Of course, I did that when I was little.

So, part of the replacement unit for Mark's unit is already over in Iraq and the rest of the unit should be there within a week or so. They should be heading to Kuwait by the end of the month. As of now they will be hanging out for about a month. They should be home the end of October to the first of November. So, that means only about 7 more weeks! I am so very excited and I think Noah is getting excited but I don't think he really knows why yet.

He recognizes Mark in pictures. We were at church one Sunday and they have a military tree up. We were in the hallway talking to someone and I knew Noah kept saying "Daddy!" but I just thought he was babbling. I turned to look and he was pointing at Mark's picture on the tree. At home we have a huge picture of Mark that stands about 3 feet tall. There is a wonderful company that will make these huge prints for military families for free. I have it propped against the wall in Noah's bedroom and he gives Mark a kiss every night at bedtime and then any other time during the day too. It's really sweet. I will have to try to take a pic of Noah giving Mark kisses.

Well, I just wanted to give you a quick update. I know I haven't been on lately, so I wanted to catch everyone up. Hope you all are doing well!

That is such great news!!! We're excited, too. The thought of Noah kissing Mark every night is just precious. Let us know as soon as you have a date for his return.

That is so cute! And it's such a good idea to do! I'm sure Noah will be so excited to see a 'real' Daddy instead of a picture Daddy in only 7 more weeks!

Thanks for the update!
