Bring on the TRAVELING!

We are taking a family vacation this month so I saw these homemade felt boards on a blog and thought I would make some for the kidos and surprise them with it on the plane. Hopefully they are interested for at least 30 mins! I just took a diaper box and cut it to size on a piece of felt. (any box will work ie. cereal box, cracker box etc...) Walmart sells this felt that has adhesive on it already so you just peel and stick it to the box and viola you have a felt board. It is open for your creativity and I am sure others are more crafty than me. I figured these would work great for church and car rides too. Here are a few scenes I made. I also cut up a ton of shapes of all colors for kid imagination to take over. I will let you know how it worked after our trip. Many late night hours were spend over little felt pieces!

Dora, you are so creative! The octopus is especially impressive. What a great idea. I remember having so much fun with felt boards when I was little. The kids will love them, I'm sure. And it is a nice, quiet, non-messy activity: perfect for traveling. Have a good trip!
