We did it! And actually enjoyed it...13.1 miles! Unfortunatley we didn't come in first place out of about 4,000 people....we were a little sad about that. ;)We had our Peace Corps interview this week and we are officially 'in'! The process is very similar to going on a mission. We were interviewed by our regional offices (like stake pres) and then they will recommend us and show our file to the higher ups in Washington DC to consider further. All we know at the moment is our date to leave is between June-September 2010. Once the Offices in Washington DC receive our files and review they will call our Regional offices (and then they will call us) and let us know which region/country we are accepted to and which month specifically we will leave (we will probably know by May 2009). But, it won't be until about this time NEXT year when we will receive a specific town/village name and specific date our flight takes off. We are so excited!
Here is a website if any of you are interested in finding out a little bit more of what Justin and I are going to be committing two years of our lives to. There are so many benefits (financial--don't worry Dora!--, educational, career, immersing ourselves fully to helping others and just to experiece life and how others live it!).

I am your big sister... I am supposed to worry! That is what we do. Gotta look out for the young kidos.
Yeah, that is exciting though. Live it up! And congrats on the 1/2 marathon. I am huffing and puffing just completing 3 miles. My face stays beet red for 3 hrs or more. Love ya and we are proud of you and Justin!
Cool Ash! and thanks for the birthday wish. I look at you running in your kids-wall-art.com t-shirt everyday (I've got it as my wallpaper) and I am still touched almost to tears everyday. That was just too sweet of you both.
But on the note of the peace corps...I think it is awesome and will be an awesome experience for you and your hubby to do. You guys are an inspiration! And you get to do it together...how fun is that?
Love you Ash!
